Information for preparing and formatting articles

Ergodesign & HCI is open for the submission of academic/scientific articles. Submissions of extended abstracts are not accepted.

Their relevance to the scope of the publication will be determined by the editors and the members of the Editorial Board who may be appointed.

It is strongly recommended that authors check the articles published in this journal before submitting their work, as an incentive to make an unprecedented contribution to advancing the fields of Ergodesign and Human-Computer Interaction.

The article sent for analysis must be submitted on the site itself, with a Portuguese version with the following specifications:

a) title in Portuguese and English of up to 30 words;

b) full text of 4,000 to 6,000 words, including tables, graphs and figures. This total does not include references;

c) Indication of up to five authors with full name, e-mail address, affiliation and ORCID;

d) up to four keywords in Portuguese and English;

e) abstract of 150 to 200 words in English;

f) A4 format;

g) Times New Roman font size 11;

h) single spacing aligned to the left;

i) References and citations prepared in accordance with the standards of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT).

The following template contains all the specifications and must necessarily be used to format the article for submission (article formatting template.docx).

It is recommended that texts in Portuguese and English be checked before submission. The quality of the writing in Portuguese and English is the responsibility of the authors.

Likewise, Ergodesign & HCI will not be held responsible for typos, spelling or grammar corrections.

Information on the submission process

At the time of submission, authors are asked to send three files according to the formatting model specified above:

. Full article with authors' identification and details;
. Full article without authors' identification and data. Particularly in file 2, which will be sent to the reviewers, authors are asked to remove any traces of identification from the text editor's properties in order to guarantee anonymity.
. Letter of Authorization to Publish (letter of authorization.docx) duly completed and signed, granting the journal Ergodesign & HCI a non-exclusive rights license.
Without submitting the three files listed above, the submitted article will not be sent for peer review.

Papers with and without identification should be saved as a *.doc or *.docx file in Microsoft Word on Windows or Mac.

Once the article has been approved, the author(s) can increase the visibility of the publication by sending:

a) a version in Spanish or Portuguese, this being a short paper of 800 to 1500 words of the complete work*, comprising the following topics: presentation of the work/context of development; methodology; results and conclusions, according to the model (formatting model for the short paper.docx).

* The word limit does not include the abstract or references.

b) Authorization to publish the short paper signed by the author responsible for the article.
