Abstract

The observation drawing taught in the architecture course brings up a great challenge: to represent human figures. The content is seen by the students as complex, however, demystify and highlight the relevance of the same, softens prejudices and makes the exercise of elaborating drawings pleasurable and fundamental. The path is to understand the origins and needs of measurement have arisen with the the development of civilizations, how human proportions influence daily life, and how to establish their own expressive language appropriate to scenarios and situations. The figure passes to give the notion of measure, the human scale, allowing the reading of all other elements around, the designer has at present the power to modify everything with two risks and an ellipse. As models are collected in various positions and interactions, vocabulary acquisition is consolidated and the flow of the drawing occurs in a readable and rewarding way.
